Shelby’s http://shelby93.edublogs.org/2010/06/15/my-girls/ because she put hard work into it and I really like how it looks, and Maggie’s blog http://magxbrooks1.edublogs.org/2010/06/11/more-photoshop-stuff/ because I like how you can see her work and it looks like she spent time on it.
3 Favorite Projects: My 3 Favorite Projects are Maggie’s Photoshop Project http://magxbrooks1.edublogs.org/2010/06/11/more-photoshop-stuff/ I thought it was really interesting and cool how she changed a lot of the stuff in the photo! I also liked Alex’s other photoshop work of the alligator and the duck! What I did: For my project 7 I had seen examples of “Light Graffiti” and I was interested in trying it out. So I took a camera to downtown Oly with some friends and tried to create “Light Graffiti”.
What I Learned: During this project I learned that its pretty hard to draw something with light when you can’t see how it looks until after you’ve taken the picture, and in order to take the pictures you have to have the light pointing at the camera all the time.

For my Project 7 I took pictures of “Light Graffiti” and I’ve already uploaded them to the school computer so all I have to do is post them in my blog which I plan on doing sometime this week.

What I did: For my Project 6 I continued the same kind of work that I did with my project 5. I took pictures with a digital camera and uploaded them onto the computer and worked with them in Photoshop to add color back to parts of it. This time I took a camera downtown Oly and took pictures around night time.
What I learned: Since I’ve done this project before I decided to take pictures differently so I went to downtown Olympia and took the pictures closer to night. I used glow sticks in some of my pictures and took a picture of the Oyster House because I knew I wanted to add the neon back into the color. I also went to the fountain to try and get some pictures. It was hard to hold the camera since I was walking around but I’m happy with the pictures I took.

Today I worked on my pictures in photoshop. I’ve finished two pictures so far and I’m working on the third today. I hope to have it done by Monday.

Timeline:
Step 1: Take Pictures outside of school on my own time and maybe if its sunny outside I’ll take some pictures at school.
Step 2: Upload the pictures on the computer and start working with them in photoshop.
Step 3: Post my work to my edublogs.com account.
Description: For my project 6 I want to continue working with my digital photos in photoshop. I’ve done photoshop and photography two time before for other projects but I really like taking pictures and also coloring so I find it really fun to do this kind of photoshop work with my pictures. I’m going to try to take most of the pictures at home so that I have more time to work with them in photoshop because as I recently learned the history brush only remembers the work you’ve done for that day so I have to add the color into my pictures in one day, which might be hard if its a really detailed picture.

What I did: For my project 5 I took photos with a digital camera and then I uploaded them into photoshop and desaturated the photos and then used the history brush to add color back to different places in the picture.
What I learned: I’ve done this project before but I decided to do it again because I really enjoyed it last time. Something I did different that was also a little difficult was adding really detailed color back into my pictures. For example the picture of the broadway bridge was a bit difficult because I had to do it all in one class period because the history brush doesn’t remember the colors of the picture for more than one day, and also the bridge was pretty big and I had to zoom in a lot and make sure I didn’t add color to the different things behind the bridge so it was a challenge.

I have all the pictures I need for my project so now I’m focusing on the photoshop part of my project. I went to Rockaway beach over the weekend and took a lot of photos that I decided I wanted to work with in photoshop.

Timeline:
Step 1: Spend maybe a couple days looking online for more examples of this type of photography and photoshop so I can get a good idea of what I want to take pictures of.
Step 2: Spend a few days with a digital camera taking pictures outside of different things I want to photoshop.
Step 3: Upload the pictures on the computer and start to work with photoshop.
Step 4: Post the pictures into edublogs.com
Description: I decided for my project 5 I’m going to do the same project I did for Project 2. I wanted to do the same project because I really enjoyed it last time. It was probably one of my favorite projects to do. I have new ideas of what I want to take pictures of, and now that I have a better understanding of how to use the photoshop tools, I’ll be able to take more pictures and use more photoshop.
